Shanai Cup

A very restricted tier for use in testing the Shanai battle engine. This tier has 3 goals:

1. Type matchups dominate.
2. Prediction is required.
3. All Pokémon in the tier are usable with no dominating Pokémon.

Rules

Restrictions

As the primary purpose of this tier is for testing the Shanai battle AI, there are some mandatory restrictions imposed.

1. No items. Due to a technical issue with the PO tiering system, Pokémon are allowed to hold a Potion if you wish; not that the Potion will help you in battle!
2. All abilities on the Pokémon must have no useful battle effects. The only exception is Magnemite, who must use Sturdy.

Non-restrictions

The following are commonly asked if they are restricted or not. They are not restricted.

1. Effort Value allocation. You can assign EVs to your Pokémon in whatever manner you choose.
2. Nature selection. You may choose any natures.

Shanai Cup STAT was a former variation of Shanai Cup. It allowed the use of moves that increased or decreased stats.

Shanai Cup 1.5

Shanai Cup 1.5, or Priority Shanai Cup, was a former variation of Shanai Cup. It allowed the use of moves with priority.
